After the Conference

Empty meeting room
Don't let the time after the conference slip away without consolidating the knowledge gained and the relationships made. There are specific actions each attendee should do after the conference to maximize the effectiveness of their attendance at the conference. Flying or driving home after a conference is not the final act -- there is an epilogue that must still be written and actions that every attendee must do before their conference experience is over.

The week after the conference schedule a de-briefing meeting to share knowledge gained and to answer the specific questions that were identified in the pre-conference meeting (you did that, didn't you?). Follow up on the contacts you made at the conference. Share what you learned with your fellow attendees and with the people in your department who were not able to attend the conference.
